INTERACTION TEST1

My idea is still based on smashing objects but its execution is different. I realized that the scope of my orginal idea was indeed to large for the time we have and for one person. Therefore I have greatly reduced the scope to allow me something to build. I have not focused on the features the game would have and just the hardcore mechanics.

My game again has a small narrative of a business woman who is annoyed at a store and wants to get revenge. This version though, she climbs a latter and the proceeds to smash items on top of people heads. The more items that hit on people heads to more points you get.

Idea for my game

I decided for my casual game I wanted to work with the idea of destruction.

The 2 games that I thought capsulated the ideas I wanted to work with were Katamari Damacy and Rampage: Total Destruction.



























Katamari meets Rampage!!

Object of katamari is to go around and collect objects the more objects you roll on your ball and collect the bigger it gets and the more heavier objects you can pick up. Racing against the clock.

Object of Rampage is to control a monster and go around destroying cities. The more you destroy the higher your score. Try not to get killed by police. Also get points for eating people and police or squashing them. As well as getting different abilities and extra life from power ups scattered around.


Some ideas I was playing with that I might want to incorporate into my game was:

  • Narrative
  • Woman Lead character
  • Smash the most things in a space before getting caught, or under a time limit
  • Might have a list of moves, that help you smash bigger things or things quicker.
  • Power ups: Increase Time, Energy Drink(Speed), Steroids(Extra Strength), Weapons
  • Enemies: Time? People? Limits on items smash to advance?
NARRATIVE

Woman goes to a department store for some last minute shopping. Is smart mouth by a cashier, decides to teach cashier a lesson. Goes on a rampage through out the store. Possiblities of having a limit on the amount of items you have to smash before time is up or get caught by the police. Also possiblity of just allowing player to smash as many items as they want but have to avoid the police as well. Which would involve throwing items at police to protect yourself from getting caught.
